Angelcare was the first company worldwide to introduce the SensorPad technology. The technology has been taken from the medical sector and adapted and improved for home usage.
The SensorPad is placed under the mattress and monitors baby’s slightest movements. An alarm will sound after 20 seconds if no movement is detected. The SensorPad is suitable for most types of mattresses (except memory foam).
One SensorPad is sufficient for each bed type and size (see instructions for correct placement)
The motion sensor works and has not had any false alarms ONCE you adjust the sensitivity.
At its least sensitive setting, the unit would alarm. Since adjusting to the “mid level” you will not have not had a single false alarm… However, if you pick up your child up in the middle of the night to change a full diaper, turn the unit off first or you’ll wake up your sleeping spouse with the ALARM!

“The Angelcare Baby Monitor has a moving image tha shows the baby is breathing- which is very reasuring when you wake up in the middle of the night to check on your baby.I would suggest to the manufacturer of the product that the parent monitor could show the temperature also in celsius, and that the parent monitor could have a clock( very useful to quickly check the time when your baby wakes crying during the night). It’s quite heavy to take on the go, but overall it’s an excellent product. Would highly recommend it.”

Maurice heard about an existing monitor in the UK was able to detect babies’ breathing movements which was of interest. At the time, it was a very expensive medical device not and easily affordable for most parents. But the demand was there. Maurice Pinsonnault bought the patent rights and after extensive research and development, the Angelcare Baby Monitor was born.
Several models include a unique design SensorPad that detects even the slightest movements of your baby. If no movement is detected for 20 seconds an alarm will sound so you can see that you will know all the time what your baby is doing.
Combining two frequencies and 8 channels it provides optimal sound quality and minimises interference.
The parent unit is portable and rechargeable and has a full colour digital LCD screen that clearly shows all the available functions and also the temperature in the baby’s room which is important to ensure that your baby is comfortable.
The nursery unit has night light in the shape of a halo. The extended reach has been improved to 100 meter indoors and 250 meter outdoors. The units have various alarm indicators, including out of reach and low battery. Sound transmission can be continuous or sound activated.
